Stanley incorporates a rugged swing hammer mechanism and many other features not found in any other hydraulic impact wrench. The hammer case is machined steel for rigidity and an "O" ring seal at the housing eliminates grease leaks. Thrust bearings at the front and rear of the mechanism carry loads generated when drilling in hard material and provide delivery of more power to the drill bit. Heavy duty bushings and a heavy duty hammer frame make the mechanism resistant to side loads that can damage other impact mechanisms. Heavy duty wiper seals are used to seal the reversing spool shaft to prevent contamination from entering the wrench. To guarantee long and reliable service, the ID07 features a built in reverse check valve to prevent wrench operations if the hydraulic circuit is reversed plumbed. Two large detent balls and heavy duty springs are use in the 7/16 inch quick change adapter for positive socket and bit retention, even when pulling the wrench while angering. The ID07 comes standard with a 1/2 inch square drive but is field upgradeable to a 7/16 inch hex quick change anvil. It is designed to run off a HTMA type II hydraulic circuit. Designed for heavy duty operations, the ID07 can be used by divers in any position.
